How was justice divided in sustenance in our religion? Did Allah enrich the wealthy due to His knowledge that he would pursue the means of wealth, and forsake the poor due to His knowledge of his negligence? Or were provisions divided in another manner, and each person was guided to the means? And what is the opinion of one who says: "The poor person is poor due to his mindset, and verily Allah is the Provider, but He has set cosmic means for wealth"?

Allah divided provisions before He created creation, and He wrote the destinies of creatures fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, while His Throne was upon water. Likewise, He wrote every person's provision, their deeds, and their lifespan while they were in their mother's womb. Provisions are written in the initial decree, and then in the human's life-long decree.

Allah is All-Wise, All-Knowing. He destines things according to His knowledge and wisdom, and He is not questioned about what He does. The Almighty has informed us of His wisdom in not enriching some people, for if He were to expand provisions for His servants, it might lead to tyranny on earth. Rather, He sends down provision in the measure He wills. Furthermore, elevating some people above others in livelihood makes some of them employ others in various tasks and industries. If people were equal in wealth, many of their interests would be neglected.

The distribution of provisions does not depend solely on taking means. Allah provides through means and without them. Provision may come to a person from where they do not expect it, just as reality contradicts the idea that means alone guarantee wealth, for many take means and remain poor. Provision is apportioned and reaches its recipient as Allah has decreed. Its ultimate return is to His perfect will, knowledge, and wisdom.

There are spiritual reasons for provision that may be hidden from some, such as faith, piety, righteous deeds, maintaining kinship ties, spending, and generosity. Whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect, and whoever relies upon Allah, He is sufficient for him.
