In this life, a person transitions from one state to another. Allah has made the entire affair of a believer good, for they are between patience and gratitude. A believer may neglect important stations of faith, such as belief in divine decree and destiny (al-qada’ wal-qadar), contentment with Allah, knowing Allah’s wisdom and mercy, and understanding that Allah’s choice is always best for the servant. A believer must strive for what benefits them and not succumb to helplessness or regret over what has passed, and they should say: "Allah has decreed, and whatever He wills, He does." Furthermore, piety towards Allah and supplication (du'a) are among the most important means to overcome tribulations.
