A husband's betrayal of his wife by establishing an illicit relationship with a foreign woman is, first and foremost, a betrayal of Allah's right. The wife should be gentle with her husband and fulfill her responsibilities towards him with kindness and adornment, while advising him, admonishing him, and warning him of Allah's punishment in this world and the hereafter, and of trials afflicting his family. It is recommended not to involve others in knowing about the matter, and to occupy his time with what is beneficial and useful, and to increase supplication for his guidance and righteousness.
