Are there pillars supporting the sky, and what is the proof of that, and why did Allah Almighty say, (He created the heavens without pillars that you see) with the phrase (that you see)?
Scholars differed concerning the interpretation of the verse: (without pillars that you can see). There are two opinions:
The first: That the heaven has pillars that are unseen, and this demonstrates the greatness of Allah.
The second: That the heaven has no pillars whatsoever. And if it had pillars, people would see them. Allah holds it by His power.
The second opinion is the more apparent, as the expression "that you can see" means that it has no pillars to be seen.
