What is the ruling on traveling to Western countries to study medicine, given the inability to perform Friday prayer?

If the field of study is not available in Muslim countries, and the person feels secure from temptation and is able to observe religious rituals, then there is no harm in traveling to the West. However, if traveling will prevent you from attending Friday prayer, and you are in a country where Friday prayer is established and you hear the call, but you are prevented from going, then it is not permissible for you to reside there except out of necessity. Studying is not a valid excuse for missing Friday prayer.
