Is it better for the Muslim community to frequently remember the greatness of Allah's forgiveness and to seek out dispensations, especially in these times of tribulation, which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, described as a time when "the one who adheres to his religion is like one grasping a burning coal"?

The hadith that the questioner could not find is the one narrated by Abu Hurayrah, raised to the Prophet (marfu'): "Indeed, you are in a time when whoever abandons a tenth of what he is commanded to do will perish. Then a time will come when whoever acts upon a tenth of what he is commanded to do will be saved." This hadith has previously been declared weak. It has a corroborating narration (shahid) from Abu Dharr, raised to the Prophet (marfu'), with the wording: "Indeed, you are in a time when its scholars are many, and its orators are few. Whoever adheres to a tenth of what he knows will be saved." This too is weak.

As for the hadith about people exiting the religion of Allah in droves, it was narrated by Ahmad from Jabir, raised to the Prophet (marfu'), with the wording: "Indeed, people entered the religion of Allah in droves, and they will exit from it in droves." This is weak due to the unknown status of its narrator.
