What is the ruling on naming a newborn girl "Aysel," which is of Turkish origin and means "moonlight" or "moon face"?

It is permissible to name a newborn with a non-Arabic name if it is not specific to disbelievers, or if it does not carry a forbidden or repugnant meaning. However, it is not advisable to do so because the proliferation of non-Arabic names weakens the Arabic language and may fall under the forbidden "imitation of non-Arabs." The Salaf disliked speaking in other than Arabic without need, and they considered learning Persian to diminish one's integrity.
