Is it permissible to name a newborn girl "Aroush" – with an explanation of its meaning, whether it is Arabic, and whether it is considered among the forbidden names if it means "angel," or is it permissible to keep it if it means "throne"?

There is no correct translation for the word "Maelak" in Arabic with its written letters, nor is there a suitable meaning known for it to name a person. A newborn should be named with what is known of names or what has a suitable meaning in the speaker's language, and it is not a condition for the name to be Arabic if the person is not Arab. However, if one wishes to name their newborn with an Arabic name, they should choose well-known Arabic names such as Muhammad, Ahmad, and Abdullah. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen disliked naming with "Malak" (angel) and advised choosing other well-known names with a good meaning.
