What is the approved standard for dividing the father's inheritance 15 years after his death: is it its value on the day of his death or its current value?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Everyone entitled to an inheritance must be given their due, and ownership of the estate transfers to the heirs immediately upon the death of the deceased. If the deceased's daughters are prevented from their right to inheritance:

- If the assets are monetary, they are entitled to their share of it, and if the money has been invested, they are entitled to a share of the profit.

- If it is real estate or land, they are legally entitled to their share, and the property should be divided or sold, and they should be given their share at its current value.

- The usurper guarantees the principal and its connected and disconnected increments.

- If anything from the estate is damaged or its value decreases, the usurper must return the right and the value of what has decreased.

- Whoever has wronged or usurped a right must return it and repent to Allah Almighty.
