What is the ruling on studying sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts when there is no intention to continue with it after graduation, due to necessity and inability to transfer?

The Prophetic hadiths confirm the prohibition of depicting living beings, especially embodied statues, and this is a consensus among scholars. Excluded from this are inanimate objects such as trees and flowers. It is also permissible to sculpt living beings if they are incomplete to the extent that they cannot be "alive" in reality, such as being headless or half-bodied. It is advisable to seek another university major that does not conflict with these Shariah rulings.
