Is the bathroom floor impure, and does one become impure if they touch a table or a basin in the bathroom that does not touch the floor?

The default state of things is purity (taharah), and this purity does not change except with certainty of it being afflicted by impurity (najāsa). Imagining impurity on a table or in a bathing area without proof is considered a whisper (waswasah) that must be treated. If the bathroom floor or bathing area becomes contaminated with impurity, it is purified by pouring water over it. One is warned against giving in to whispers because they bring great harm.
