What is the appropriate age to educate children about sex?

Parents must take responsibility for their children and prevent anything that corrupts them. Early teaching of sex education to children contains many evils. Children should be taught the manners of Islam related to covering the 'awrah (private parts), lowering the gaze, and seeking permission from a young age, such as seeking permission at specific times, and separating them in beds from the age of ten. When puberty approaches, children should be taught the signs of puberty and the rulings related to it. It is also important to differentiate between masculinity and femininity from an early age, and to teach children the privacy of the 'awrah and the importance of covering it. As for sex education related to intercourse, it should be taught when needed, with caution in expression and consideration of the appropriate age.
