Is what one of the sheikhs mentioned true, that Allah gave Musa the Tablets on the Day of Arafah, on the eve of Eid al-Nahr? And was there Hajj during the time of Musa, peace be upon him? And did Jibril blow the soul into the calf of the Children of Israel, or was it a body without a soul? And why did Musa, peace be upon him, say, "And I am the first of the believers" in verse 143 of Surat Al-A'raf, despite there being believers before him and with him? And how did Musa receive the Tablets? And what is the interpretation of Harun's saying, "Indeed, the people oppressed me"? And what is the meaning of "they regretted it" in verse 149? And is there a difference between the Tablets and "its inscription" in verse 154? And what is the reason for the tremor in verse 155 of Surat Al-A'raf?

There is no explicit text regarding the date Moses received the Tablets. However, some of the Salaf (early Muslims) mentioned that the thirty nights were in Dhul-Qa'dah, and the forty were completed with the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, so Allah spoke to him on the day of Eid al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrifice).

Moses' appointed time was at Mount Tur, and it has no connection to Arafat.

Hajj existed during the times of Moses and Jonah, peace be upon them both.

Gabriel did not breathe the spirit into the calf. Rather, the Samiri fashioned it from gold and cast into it a handful of dust from the hoof-print of Gabriel's horse, so it produced a lowing sound or became a real calf.

The meaning of "I am the first of the believers" is the first to believe that no one sees You.

The meaning of "they regretted their deed" (literally: "it fell into their hands") is that they regretted what they had done.

Regarding "and in its transcription" (or "copy"): it was said that these were the Tablets transcribed from the Preserved Tablet, or another copy of the Tablets after they were broken.

Aaron's statement "They oppressed me" does not contradict "And We shall grant you both authority"; because the people rebelled against him and oppressed him due to his few followers.

The reason they were seized by the earthquake was their saying, "We will not believe you until we see Allah openly," or their not ceasing to worship the calf, or their silence regarding it.
