How can a young person overcome the idea of the insignificance of acts of worship and the value of an individual in the face of God's absolute might and power, which leads him to laziness in drawing closer and performing acts of worship?

The idea of God's greatness and the all-encompassing nature of His power, and the insignificance of acts of obedience in comparison to His عظمه (majesty), is a sound idea if you utilize it well. A Lord such as this is worthy of obedience and the avoidance of prohibitions. Allah, glory be to Him, is self-sufficient and has no need of the deeds of His servants. He has tested us with His commands and prohibitions so that He may reward us for them. The acceptance of a deed is by the grace of Allah, and no one enters Paradise by their deeds alone, but rather by the favor and mercy of Allah. The servant must have a good opinion of Allah, as in the Hadith Qudsi, "I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me." Despair comes from Satan to divert you from worship. Do not belittle sins, even if they are not major ones, for belittling them can be a cause of destruction. Indeed, the believer sees his sins as if he were at the foot of a mountain, fearing that it might fall upon him, whereas the wicked person sees his sins as a fly that has passed over his nose.
