What is the ruling of Islamic law on the "Competition Schedule" that includes recitation of the Quran, the five daily prayers in the mosque, fasting, and maintaining kinship ties, and which friends fill out each month to motivate themselves to perform acts of obedience?

If the intention behind the aforementioned form is to encourage oneself to compete in good deeds, seeking Allah's pleasure, then it is permissible and falls under the Almighty's saying: "And for that let the competitors compete." However, if the intention is ostentation and seeking reputation, then it is blameworthy. The matter differs according to intentions, for among people are those who use it as a means to urge themselves to obey Allah, and among them are those who aim for people's praise and commendation.
