Does saying, "We are disbelievers," in jest, expel the one who says it from the fold of Islam, and what are the implications of that?

Whoever attributes disbelief to himself has apostatized from Islam - God forbid - even if he was joking or ignorant that his statement was an act of apostasy, as long as he said it intentionally and willingly. It is sufficient for him in this regard to pronounce the two testimonies of faith along with sincere repentance; by regretting what emanated from him, abandoning this sin out of fear of Almighty God, and making a sincere resolve never to return to it.
