Is it considered an apostasy that expels one from the fold of Islam to unintentionally curse Allah —the Exalted—, or religion, or the prophets, or to repeat words of disbelief without being aware of their meaning? And is repentance accepted for a sin one doubts having committed? And is repentance accepted from one who did not know they had disbelieved previously, then repented?

Uttering words of disbelief without intending their meaning of disbelief does not constitute apostasy. Repentance for that which one doubts its prohibition or whether it constitutes disbelief is legislated, and repentance for what one presumes to be a sin is valid. If one doubts whether an act is reprehensible or not, repentance from this negligence is obligatory. The servant's repentance and seeking forgiveness for sins unknown to them is legislated. As long as you have repented and sought forgiveness for what you have done, you have fulfilled your obligation. Therefore, turn away from thinking about those incidents and busy yourself with realizing repentance, increasing supplications for forgiveness, and performing righteous deeds.
