What is the ruling on one who faces the Qibla, performs the movements of prayer such as bowing and prostrating, and glorifies and remembers Allah in bowing and prostrating; is this forbidden?

Everything related to religion must be respected and revered, especially prayer, which is the pillar of faith and its second tenet. Mocking prayer is a neglect of religion. Allah described the hypocrites who mock Him, His Messenger, and His verses as having disbelieved after their belief. Scholars have agreed that apostasy occurs through an explicit statement, words, or actions that necessitate disbelief. Therefore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to toy with prayer or anything from religion out of mockery. Whoever does so out of mockery and contempt has disbelieved and must hasten to repent. As for whoever does so out of ignorance or does not intend mockery, we hope it is not apostasy, and they must repent and perform prayer in its prescribed manner.
