The husband's relinquishment of his share in the old car is considered a gift and is completed by the donee's possession. If the wife proves the relinquishment with evidence or an admission, then the car is hers. However, if she does not prove it, he is a partner in it to the extent of his share in the old car, and he does not share with her the difference in price that she paid.

Regarding maintenance (nafaqa), if the wife spent on herself and her children during the husband's travel with the intention of claiming it back from him, she has the right to demand it from him, knowing that the wife is not obligated to maintain herself or her husband's children.

It is advisable for both spouses to remove rancor from their hearts and reconcile to preserve the family, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And reconciliation is best. And [human] souls have been made to incline to [worldly] avarice. But if you do good and fear Allah, then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted" (An-Nisa: 128), and "No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for whoever enjoins charity or good or reconciliation between people. And whoever does that seeking means to the approval of Allah - then We will give him a great reward" (An-Nisa: 114), and "And that you pardon is nearer to righteousness. And do not forget graciousness between you. Indeed, Allah is ever, of what you do, Seer" (Al-Baqarah: 237).
