Is it permissible to see the Chosen One, peace and blessings be upon him, in a dream or while awake? And is one who claims that considered a polytheist?

Seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a dream, with his attributes as established in the authentic Sunnah, is permissible. One who claims to have seen him does not commit an act of disbelief, due to his (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Whoever sees me in a dream has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot impersonate me." His vision is glad tidings, and there is no harm in acting upon what he commands in the dream, as long as it is not forbidden by the Sharia.
