Is it possible to see the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, while awake? And how do we respond to someone who claims to have seen him in a dream and that the Prophet gave him a wird? And what is your opinion on the "Complete Prayer" (Al-Salat al-Kamila)?
Seeing the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while awake after his death is not possible. His saying: "Whoever sees me in a dream will see me while awake" has been interpreted by scholars as either a similitude, or that his vision is truthful, or that it is specific to the people of his era, or that what is meant is seeing him in the hereafter with a special privilege. As for seeing him in a dream, it is possible legally and rationally, provided that he is seen in his known form. If the sleeper sees the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he commands him with a legal matter, then it is a comfort and good tidings. But if the matter is not legal, it does not constitute a proof, for the religion was perfected with his death, peace and blessings be upon him.
