Is it permissible for an employee to receive a gift from a product supplier without it affecting his work?

What is gifted to an employee because of their job is not permissible to take without the permission of their employer. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that gifts given to a worker because of their work are unlawful gain (ghulul), and that if he had stayed in his home, he would not have been given these gifts. He warned that whoever does this will come on the Day of Resurrection carrying what they unlawfully gained. If the employer permits taking these gifts, then there is no harm in benefiting from them.
