What is the ruling on heirs dedicating a plot of agricultural land, inherited from their father, as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) for him, on the condition that the proceeds of the endowment (waqf) be for those among them who live near the land, and for the widowed and divorced daughters?

The jurists stipulated the validity of a person's endowment upon themselves, with two opinions: prohibition and permissibility. The majority of jurists have gone to the opinion that a person's endowment upon themselves is invalid, while Abu Yusuf from the Hanafis has gone to the opinion that a person's endowment upon themselves is valid.

It is better to avoid this dispute by endowing the agricultural land in a way that is not problematic, and dedicating its reward to one's father.
