The answer

A medical condition requires taking the means of treatment, along with prayer and reliance on Allah, for every disease has a cure.

The basic ruling for treating with unlawful () or impure (najis) substances is prohibition. The evidence for this is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of treating with unlawful things, with foul medicine, and with eating any predatory animal with fangs.

It is permissible to treat with unlawful and impure substances, other than intoxicants, when there is a necessity, if no pure substitute is available that can take its place, and provided that the person being treated is knowledgeable of this, or a trustworthy doctor informs him.

Based on this, if it is scientifically proven that wolf liver is a cure for the illness and no alternative is available, then there is no harm in treating with it.
