How can a student of knowledge study the methodology of the Righteous Salaf, and does reading the books of scholars of Hadith, Aqeedah, Fiqh, and Tafsir mean studying this methodology, or is it limited to reading the biographies of the Salaf and their specific biographical works? And is the description "Salafi" applied only to scholars who did not follow the methodology of the Salaf in Aqeedah, and is reading their books considered reading the methodology of the Righteous Salaf in its other aspects such as conduct, worship, and manners?

Studying the methodology of the Pious Predecessors (Salaf as-Salih) is not limited to studying their biographies, but also includes studying the books of creed and jurisprudence that elucidate their beliefs and sayings, and emulating them in their manners, worship, and conduct. Scholars who erred in some matters of creed out of good intention and a quest for truth do not thereby entirely depart from the methodology of the Salaf. Rather, what they contradicted in the methodology of the Salaf is not accepted from them nor is it followed, and it is considered among their slips that are overshadowed by their correctness.
