As for the health aspect and the danger of the pregnancy remaining for the mother, this should be referred to specialized doctors. As for the ruling on aborting the fetus:

- If the pregnancy is less than 40 days old, it is permissible to abort it to avert a definite or expected harm.

- If the pregnancy is between 40 and 120 days old (before the ensoulment), then aborting it for a justifiable reason is not forbidden. If trustworthy doctors advise aborting it considering the health condition of the mother and the fetus, there is no harm in that.

- If it is after the ensoulment (120 days), it is not permissible to abort it unless its continuation poses a definite threat to the mother's life that cannot be averted except by abortion.
