Does a device that only produces drum sounds at wedding parties, and the drum itself is not seen, fall under the category of forbidden musical instruments?

Using the sound of the tambourine (daf) in wedding celebrations is permissible, whether live or recorded, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "The distinction between lawful and unlawful is the sound and beating of the tambourine."
