What is the ruling on a software engineer participating in a project for an application to teach women belly dancing for the purpose of weight loss, where the instructional videos show women in tight sportswear, knowing that the application targets only women in foreign and Arab countries?

It is impermissible to create women's videos that include oriental or Western dancing for weight loss, because they often fall into the hands of men, and it is prohibited for men to view them. Furthermore, these videos may be used to teach oriental dancing, especially in the West. The predominant assumption is considered equivalent to verification, and Islamic law takes precautions regarding what frequently occurs, and consequences are considered in the principle of permissibility. If the videos include music, their prohibition is even more severe. Therefore, it is not permissible to work on programming this application or to participate in it due to the sin and aggression it entails, and whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
