The ruling on using websites depends on the purpose of their use and what they lead to. Whoever uses them for permissible and good purposes incurs no sin and may even be rewarded. However, whoever uses them for disliked or forbidden purposes, their use of them falls between being disliked and being forbidden. It is imperative to block the means leading to prohibitions, so if one finds that using them draws them into the forbidden, they must avoid them; for averting harm takes precedence over gaining benefits.
