What is the ruling of the religion concerning a girl who made a young man believe she loved him, exploited him, and broke his spirit, causing him psychological harm?

Acquaintance and love relationships between young men and women are not permissible, as they are a gateway to evil and corruption leading to dire consequences. If a man and a woman love each other, marriage is the best path, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "We have not seen for two who love each other anything better than marriage." If marriage is not possible for them, they must turn away from this attachment and strive for chastity through marriage, and occupy their time with what is beneficial. Therefore, what occurred between the young man and woman contradicts Islamic law, and they are partners in sin. Their duty is to repent by severing the relationship, feeling remorse, and resolving not to return to it.
