Does divorce occur if the husband jokingly tells his wife: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced"?

Divorce pronounced in jest is valid. The number of divorces that occur depends on the wording. If he repeated the phrase "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced" with the intention of establishing multiple divorces, then three divorces occur. Otherwise, only one occurs. However, if he repeated "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," then only one divorce occurs unless he intended to create multiple divorces. And whoever is unsure about the wording, only one divorce occurs. This is the view of the majority of scholars. If only one divorce occurs, the husband may take his wife back before her 'iddah (waiting period) expires.
