What happens to the deeds of disputing individuals who harbor resentment toward each other? Are they lost, or are they suspended until they reconcile? And does salvation from the torment of the grave, whether through the Quran or otherwise, signify salvation from the torment of the Hereafter?

It is not permissible to abandon a Muslim for more than three days, according to the words of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Do not hate one another, and do not envy one another, and do not turn away from one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers. It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three (days)." This prohibition is more emphatic among relatives, for maintaining ties is obligatory and severing them is forbidden. Depriving disputing parties of forgiveness on Mondays and Thursdays means postponing forgiveness for them until they reconcile, not invalidating their deeds.
