Is du'a al-mas'alah (supplication of asking) what is meant by the noble verses, or does du'a al-'ibadah (supplication of worship) also enter into it, and what are the sayings of the scholars regarding that?

Some scholars interpreted "supplication" in the verse from Surat al-Baqarah to include both dua of asking (mas'alah) and dua of worship (ibadah). Al-Qurtubi held that "I answer the call of the caller" means accepting the worship of the worshiper, while Al-Shanqiti believed that the answering of dua might be conditional on Allah's will, as stated in Surat al-Anam. However, some confine this to the supplication of disbelievers, making the promise of answering absolute for believers. Some scholars have also stated that dua here refers to worship, and the answer refers to reward. Ibn al-Qayyim was of the view that dua of worship and dua of asking are intertwined.
