Is one to say "Allahu Akbar" when prostrating for recitation in prayer, both upon descending and upon rising from it?
It is recommended for one who prostrates for recitation during prayer to say 'Allahu Akbar' when going down and when rising. Al-Nawawi said: "And whoever prostrates in it (the prayer) should say 'Allahu Akbar' when going down and when rising, and should not raise his hands." Malik said: "Whoever recites a verse of prostration in prayer should say 'Allahu Akbar' when prostrating for it and when raising his head from it."
