Is the repentance of one who committed adultery, then repented and regretted it, not accepted, merely because he commits other sins such as looking [at forbidden things], or watching some [forbidden] scenes, or masturbating, especially given that he is married and living away from his wife?

Adultery is a heinous crime and one of the gravest sins. Allah Almighty says: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way." Nevertheless, one should not despair of Allah’s mercy, for He accepts sincere repentance that fulfills its conditions: abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. The repentance of one who has committed adultery is accepted if the conditions are met, and it is not invalidated by committing other sins such as unlawful gazing or masturbation. However, one must also repent from these sins and immediately abandon them.
