Is the worship and obedience performed with the intention of overcoming a worldly crisis considered showing off (riya') or hypocrisy, and how can sincerity to Allah Almighty be achieved in this situation?

Praise be to Allah, who has blessed you with repentance. This affliction is not a sign of hypocrisy or ostentation; rather, it is a means of drawing closer to Allah. Ignore the talk of people and the whispers (of Shaytan), and strive in obedience to your Lord, sincerely devoted to Him, by worshipping Him seeking His pleasure. There is no harm in your intention that Allah may relieve you of what you are experiencing. You must accustom yourself to continuous obedience to Allah and drawing near to Him throughout your life, not just during affliction. If Allah removes the harm from you, let your gratitude for His blessings be a continuation of His worship and turning to Him. Seek help in this through remembrance (dhikr), supplication (du'a), the company of the righteous, and acquiring beneficial knowledge.
