Which Companion was addressed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, with the words: "Praise be to Allah who guided you; I had seen intelligence in you and hoped it would lead you only to good"?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Khalid ibn al-Walid upon his conversion to Islam: "Praise be to Allah who has guided you. I had observed in you an intellect, and I hoped it would not lead you except to good." Then he supplicated for him, saying: "O Allah, forgive Khalid all that he engaged in of turning people away from Your path."
