Is it permissible to cite Prophetic hadiths and Quranic verses in philosophical and scientific articles, such as citing the hadith "The similitude of the believers in their mutual love..." to explain the interconnectedness of the body's organs, and citing the verse "And he turned away from them and said, 'Oh, my sorrow over Yusuf!' And his eyes turned white from grief, so he was choked with suppressed sorrow" to support the idea of the effect of suppressed grief on physical health?

It is permissible to derive evidence from sacred texts in various fields of knowledge, so long as the inferred meaning adheres to the methodologies of inference and rules of deduction. Scholars of the past have indeed used sacred texts as evidence in the field of medicine, as Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that the Quran alluded to the three fundamental principles of physical medicine (preserving health, dieting, and expelling harmful substances) through the verses pertaining to fasting, Hajj, and ablution.

Nevertheless, the unwarranted insertion of sacred texts into contemporary sciences without religious qualification or adherence to the rules of deduction, while simultaneously disregarding the statements of the Imams, constitutes a major problem. Examples of this can be found in some instances of "scientific miracles" (al-I'jaz al-Ilmi). Indeed, speaking about Allah without knowledge is considered one of the gravest destructive sins.

Regarding the examples mentioned: The deduction from the Hadith "The likeness of the believers in their mutual love and mercy" regarding the interconnectedness of the body's members is correct. However, the addition that this negates the experimental method on living organisms is an unwarranted imposition without clear evidence. As for deriving evidence from His (Allah's) saying: "And his eyes turned white from grief" that sorrow can cause organic diseases, there is no problem with that, although the verse "until you become a wreck" is clearer in indicating this meaning.
