Is a husband and wife sleeping in the same bed after performing wudu considered contrary to the Sunnah?

A man sleeping with his wife in one bed is from the Sunnah, and many hadiths indicate this, among them the Prophet’s — peace and blessings be upon him — hadith to Fatima and Ali — may Allah be pleased with them — where he said to them: "When you go to your bed, say Allahu Akbar thirty-three times, Subhan Allah thirty-three times, and Alhamdulillah thirty-three times." As for the issue of touching a woman after performing ablution, whether it invalidates the ablution or not, scholars have differed on this matter. The reason for the difference goes back to their differing interpretations of the verse: "Or you have touched women and find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth and rub therewith your faces and hands." [An-Nisa: 43]. The preponderant opinion is that merely touching a woman does not invalidate ablution; rather, it invalidates it only if madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) or maniy (semen) is discharged.
