Is it obligatory to make up two days (for the day from Ramadan and the day on which the intention for making up was made) or only one day, if the questioner was unable to complete the fast she was making up from Ramadan?

Whoever is unable to fast an obligatory fast, or finds it difficult due to illness or travel, Allah has permitted them to break their fast, whether the fast is in Ramadan, a make-up fast, an expiation, or a vow. This is based on the Almighty's saying: (But whoever among you is ill or on a journey, then [he must fast] an equal number of other days). And whoever breaks their fast due to an excuse must make up one day for the day they broke their fast. Therefore, if you broke your fast on the day of making up, you only need to fast one day.
