Will children be held accountable for buying alcohol for their parents if the parents are the sole source of money in the family?
Allah Almighty has made honoring one's parents obligatory and has forbidden disobeying them. Obedience to them is obligatory unless they command shirk (associating partners with Allah) or disobedience, for there is no obedience to a creature in defiance of the Creator. Alcohol is forbidden by the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and scholarly consensus. Ten individuals associated with alcohol have been cursed, including its buyer. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to buy alcohol for your father, and it is not lawful for you to do so, even if it results in his anger or his cursing you. For whoever pleases Allah by incurring the displeasure of people, Allah will suffice him.
