Is it permissible to say "I love you" to one's husband while fasting?

It is permissible for a husband or wife to playfully converse during fasting, provided it does not lead to ejaculation. If they fear ejaculation, then it is not permissible. The proof for the permissibility of kissing and playful interaction for one who is confident they will not ejaculate is the action of the Prophet (peace be upon him), as narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that "The Prophet (peace be upon him) would kiss and fondle while he was fasting, and he was the most controlling of you over his desire." The ruling for embracing and similar acts is the same as for kissing. Based on this, merely exchanging words of love does not harm the fast.
