What is your comment on the Hadith, "I have come to you with slaughter," in terms of its chain of narration and its meaning? And did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, say to Quraysh that he came to slaughter them?

The Hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad, "I have come to you with slaughter," has been authenticated by researchers, Al-Haythami, and Al-Albani. It indicates that those intended by "slaughter" are individuals who insist on disbelief, wage war against Islam, and persecute Muslims. The wording should not cause confusion, for Islam is a religion of mercy, not an absolute call for killing. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forgave the people of Mecca after its conquest, accepted jizya from people of other religions, and coexisted with the Jews of Medina, confirming the words of Allah Almighty: (And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds).
