Did the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) slaughter an aqiqah for every Muslim until the Day of Judgment, and is there a hadith to that effect?
It has not been reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, slaughtered an 'Aqiqah for every Muslim until the Day of Judgment. Rather, he sacrificed for his Ummah, for those who bore witness to Tawhid (Oneness of God) and to the Conveyance (of the message). Among the Ahadith reported regarding this is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to sacrifice two rams, and when slaughtering one of them, he would say: "O Allah, on behalf of my entire Ummah, those who bore witness to Your Oneness, and bore witness to my conveyance of the message." He also sacrificed two rams, one on his behalf and on behalf of his household, and the other on his behalf and on behalf of those among his Ummah who had not offered a sacrifice.
