Is it permissible to listen to Islamic chants during the Adhan?

Listening to Islamic anthems is permissible, and repeating the Adhan (definition) (call to prayer) after the Muezzin is recommended and carries great virtue. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever says upon hearing the call: 'Allahumma Rabba hadhihi ad-da'wati at-tammati was-salati al-qa'imati, ati Muhammadan al-wasilata wal-fadilah, wab'ath-hu maqaman mahmudan alladhi wa'adtah' (O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad Al-Wasilah and Al-Fadilah, and raise him to the praised station that You promised him), my intercession will be due for him on the Day of Resurrection." And, "When you hear the Muezzin, say what he says, then invoke blessings upon me, for whoever invokes blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him ten times. Then ask Allah for Al-Wasilah for me, for it is a station in Paradise." Therefore, a Muslim should not be preoccupied with listening to anthems and lose out on this virtue.
