Why do people mock me for being devout and religious, which makes my life difficult?

The mockery of people may be a reward that Allah drives towards you. So, receive that with patience and seeking reward from Allah. Advise whoever mocks you, clarifying to them that they are exposing themselves to Allah's wrath and violating the sanctity of His prohibitions. Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them." Strive in obedience to your Lord, have a good opinion of Him, and turn to His worship, for in that lies the comfort of the heart and the tranquility of the soul. And ask your Lord to turn away from you the harm of creation.
