How should one deal with those who mock him, especially if the mockery is due to his religious appearance (such as a beard), and what is the best course of action that pleases Allah in such situations? Should one ignore or confront? And what if the mockery is repeated by the same person, or if the mocker is a woman?

Mocking religious people is not new; prophets and the righteous were mocked before, and that did not deter them from continuing in uprightness and دعوتهم (their call). Those who mock follow the path of hypocrites and criminals. Allah has mentioned the consequences of mockers in this world and the Hereafter, which alleviates the suffering of the wronged and deters the mockers. To confront them, it is recommended to be patient and remain steadfast upon the truth, to believe that Allah will grant victory to the believers and reward them for the distress and sorrow they endure, to avoid sitting with mockers unless it is to change their condition, to be stern with those who can be deterred, to avoid causes that provoke mockery without violating the Sharia, and to supplicate for their guidance and for oneself to remain firm.
