The month of Rajab is one of the sacred months in which Allah has magnified sin. Scholars have made it the beginning of preparation for , likening the year to a tree: Rajab is its time of budding leaves, Sha'ban its time of bearing fruit, and Ramadan its time of harvest. Therefore, a Muslim should increase in acts of obedience and righteous deeds during this month in preparation for Ramadan.
