Is the current obedience that God has blessed me with a sign of His veiling me from a past sin?

Obedience and commitment can be a sign of a prayer being answered, and the cessation of threats can be an indication of it. As long as you have asked Allah out of necessity and have worked with the means of prayer acceptance, your hope will not be disappointed, in fulfillment of His saying, the Almighty: "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then [answer them], I am indeed near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me." And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him.
