Is the baker's money considered illicit if he sells bread to a woman of ill repute, and does the same ruling apply to a taxi driver who transports promiscuous women?

The details concerning a taxi driver who transports people to commit unlawful acts, or whose car is used for unlawful acts, have been previously elaborated in Fatwa No. 31024.

As for the fare the driver receives from prostitutes, if it is in exchange for transporting them to commit unlawful acts, then it is unlawful. If it is in exchange for a permissible transport, then there is no objection to it, and their sin is upon them, unless the driver is certain that what he was paid is the very essence of the unlawful.
